Hi Confetti,

When ProductCart requests the rates it uses the customer selection.  FedEx doesn't include that capability into their API, but we will check on UPS.

At Check-Out, the customer manually chooses if the Shipping Address is Residential or Business.  Per this selection, the rates returned are different.  (I am using the demo program online).  Since some people know this, or some people are legitimately confused (They run there "Business" out of there Residence), there is a possibilty that we must eat the difference.  Going to the Fedex site to manually calculate a price, there is as well only a selection box.  Going to UPS site they now have a validator.  Question:  Does the API built in to PC, Validate the address, or does it simply take this Customer chosen selection?]]> Sat, 21 Jul 2007 22:59:54 +0000 https://forum.productcart.com/shipping-rates-res-vs-business_topic981_post2819.html#2819
