This issue is outside of ProductCart directly and related to the character set or encoding used on the server.

In some cases, the following line of code added to the top of the 'pc/header' file seems to fix a problem with strange characters appearing on certain pages:

<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

In our admin section I am inputing products and product names. Some of these require a trademark.
When I enter in the html code (&reg;) it displays fine. However on the website it will display funny characters (Tyvek® Labcoats). I have found out that I can bypass this if i enter in the html code right in the database.

Is there a way to stop this?
