    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=200">thedeacon</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 733<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 03-June-2007 at 11:52pm<br /><br /><P>Are the items under 1 pound?&nbsp; Underneath the&nbsp;item weight, there's a category that says "Units to make 1 lb:"&nbsp; Make sure there isn't an incorrect value there.</P><P>Let's say you have 1 stick of RAM.&nbsp; PC will calculate the shipping costs for 1 stick of RAM.&nbsp; Add on a second and while you're most likely going to ship both of those sticks in the same box, PC doesn't know that and will just double the shipping cost.&nbsp; </P><P>Without looking at your site (post the URL if you can), I'd say the issue may be that you need to set the item weight correctly (i.e. - stick of RAM = 2 oz with units to make 1lb. set at 8, rather than stick of RAM = 1lb) and tack on a hidden handling fee to cover the weight of the box or what not.</P><P>We've got something like a $30 handling fee and while that sounds like alot, we've got to pay for boxes, tape, labels&nbsp;and the inevitable miscalculation in shipping costs.&nbsp; So far it's worked out perfectly.</P>]]>

For example 2 SATA2 Hard Drivie or 2 piece of DDR2 Memory...&nbsp;There is no&nbsp;problem, while you buy those items as the components.&nbsp;</P><P>If you&nbsp;choose 1 quantity then the BTO weight info&nbsp;just correct. It is the time while you choose mutiply quantities then the weight info just totally messed up.</P><P>Hoping somebody at this forum can shed some light for me.</P><P>Regards,</P><P>David</P>]]>
