    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=11">thrion</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 692<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27-March-2007 at 11:37am<br /><br />We've been sending out emails now for a few weeks, and it's really a great tool.&nbsp; <br><br>A couple things we are doing:<br><br>1.&nbsp; We have 2 different emails that fit with the general style of the text on our site, so it's like an extension of our site.&nbsp; Also includes instructions for how to come back and finish their order.<br><br>2.&nbsp; When we sent them out, we include a coupon for 10% off to encourage people to come back and finish what they started.<br><br>3.&nbsp; Since we don't want to encourage bad behavior, we are keeping an offline list of all the drop offs that we send coupons to, and we don't send them another one for at least 3 months.<br><br><br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=11">thrion</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 692<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08-March-2007 at 11:51pm<br /><br />Since we can now look at orders that were abandoned, would it be possible to add a function where we could look at the order and if we think it is legit (like under a certain amount), we could push a button and a canned email would be sent to the customer saying something like:<br><br>"We noticed that you didn't finish checking out today and were wondering if you experienced any problems during check out.&nbsp; If so, we hope that you let us know and we would like you to accept this 10% off coupon for the order you started earlier today and hope that you will come back and shop with us.&nbsp; <br><br>If there was another reason you didn't checkout, we would like to know about it.&nbsp; We are working hard to ensure you have the best customer experience and if there is something at our site not meeting your needs, we want to know.&nbsp; Please respond to this email and let us know."<br><br>But probably written better.&nbsp; :)&nbsp; If a coupon could be automatically created and shipped with the email, that would be even better.<br><br>What would be dreamy would be for this to happen without any intervention at all, maybe make it a once a night process.<br><br>To keep fraud down, you could flag the customer account the first time this type of email is sent to make sure that they don't just keep abandoning carts for the discount.<br>]]>
