Author: JacktheBear3
Subject: 670
Posted: 21-February-2007 at 2:49pm

I am looking for a PC Developer that could give me an idea of what it will take to create a search function for product cart. I can attain the results I want just using the standard 3.0X version of Product Cart, but the future Inventory Maintenance is going to be grulling, therefore I would rather spend the money up front, planning on success and save time keeping my store in tip top shape in the future.

I am looking for a search function similar to the one here , this store was developed by a designer who has done several stores but he is not returning phone calls and I would like to move forward.

The Following is of concern to me, I need a quicker way to work with Categories as well as I would like to have two tiered searching. My application is automotive so I want customers to search for parts the following ways:
vehicle make > vehicle year > vehicle model > and even to Part Category last
** OR **

If the customer is not vehicle specific, say he owns several and just wants to go to a Part Category he could do so ..... I want to be able to accomplish this and KEEP the OEM Brand groups available for the purpose of brand specific shoppers....

All this is possible, said the guys at EI, but putting it together is a different story. I intend to move up to BTO just for the Quoting Capability, therefore all mods to the system need to take this into consideration.

All replies are welcome....

Thanks
