The changes to the USPS APIs will be addressed through an update that customers will be able to download using the "Check for Updates" link in the ProductCart Control Panel. The USPS is making some changes on Jan. 26, and I haven't seen anything addressing this. I'm hoping that work is being done to make sure that my customers will be able to select First Class postage after the change.
