I just recently upgraded my store to 4.7...
 
And I was going through the process of updating my store inventory. 
 
To pull up the products I wanted to update, I did a search.
 
I selected a brand...
 
and only 50 of the 65 active products were found in the database.
 
I went through everything to find out which 15 were missing from the search.
 
I then went to those products to make sure the correct brand was selected.
 
And everything was fine... brand was correct.
 
So why would these active products not appear in the search?  I have done search in both the backend and in the public pages.
 
All of the other parameters seemed to be correct.
