There are many other benefits to it as well. 

The ship confirmation email is one of the more complex to handle as there are various processes that generate it, and any changes here could easily be overwritten by a future update. That being said, if you want to just go with editing the code for the one simple addition in the correct places, I'd be happy to ferret out the locations for you tomorrow (feel free to "nag" if I get tied up).

RE: our Abandoned Cart Follow-up add-on -- I've been doing a case study of a half dozen merchants in a wide variety of markets using it over the past month or so, and it's been really exciting to see how quickly it ROIs and what a new insight it's giving on customer behavior in various markets. I still need at least another month of tracking data, but I'm very excited by what I'm seeing.

I know there's an add-on we could buy to make html emails which I'm considering, but aside form that, any possibilities?

I'd love to hear any opinions on the email add-ons too - I'm talking about the ones from WMS - abandoned cart follow-up and html email
