    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=11">thrion</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 48<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22-November-2005 at 5:32pm<br /><br />I thought I would give more of a breakdown of what's required for GA.&nbsp; There two parts to setting it up:<br><br>The first part is placing a code in the &lt;HEAD&gt; section of every page that you want to track.<br><br>The second, optional, piece of code would go in ordercomplete.asp andhas to be filled in with variables like order number, customer number,order total, product SKU, product name, product category, etc etc. <br><br>It's this second section that would require some additionalcoding.&nbsp; The first line is general information (like order numberand total), but the following lines are all dynamic...one line perproduct.<br><br>It's interesting stuff, and so far the results we have received from just the &lt;HEAD&gt; code have been very interesting!<br><br>]]>

We are not aware of anyone that has done work in this area. It would be great to see something, if any ProductCart user has looked into this.</P><P>Here at Early Impact we were just going to look into this new service (and possible integration with ProductCart), but Google has temporarily turned off new sign-ups for Google Analytics.</P><P>Apparently they were overwhelmed by demand and the hardware couldn't handle it&nbsp;(they bought out Urchin to offer this service, as you probably know, so they probably need to scale up&nbsp;the old hardware). So we need to wait until they accept new applications.</P>]]>
