Just to expand on Nigel's thoughts:

Check your server (perhaps you have a hosting control panel) for the default document settings. 

- There will likely be some place where you can set the order of priority for pages which can be selected as the default page for the site. 

- then there is the page in the root of your site that you wish to be your home page.

- if those conflict with each other (in terms of priority) that could be biting you.  For example, default.asp may be a redirect to /store/pc/home.asp.  If default.asp is prioritized over default.htm, then default.asp will always get recognized first by the server, thus ignoring default.htm.

 

Also, in the store - go check general settings - and set the  home page path to your preferred home page.

 

If you've set up a static home page and uploaded it to the root of your server as index.html, default.html etc the it should appear when you type in the www.yourdomain.com

 

Setting the homepage to the url of just your domain name should make it default to the static home page. If you are using the default header and footer files that come with productcart have a hardcoded link to the home page.
