dwlevy, we don't have any reports of any problems with this feature. Remember that the setting applies to subcategories of the selected category, not the category itself. If you still believe that there is an issue, please open a support ticket so that we obtain the information we need to research the problem on your store.

I am having a problem getting the category display options in the "Manage Categories" control section to override the store's default display settings.

For example, the store default is to display categories with names and thumbnail images as 2 per row, 3 rows per page. When I try to set a particular category to display as list with images, it doesn't override the store default and display as the list. It still will display as names with thumbnails.

I can get the product level display in a category to override the store default, but not the category or subcategory levels.

I am currently using PC BTO v3.02b.
