Thanks for the reply. Apparently, it was the doctype. I didn't even realize it was fixed. Someone else messaged me about another issue in IE with the navigation, and I found where the doctype can cause issues with the Adobe Spry menu in IE. So I changed that in hopes that it would fix that issue (it did not), and didn't realize that it fixed the tooltip until I read your message just now. Ah ha, I just got it fixed up. Took out the "position:" all together in the css for the div. dynamicdrive.com states the issue with relative and absolute paths in their documentation. Thanks to roknrod12 for the lead.
