My problem is that the internal search is returning results that seem out of order to me. For instance, if i enter the word "digital" in my search, the first item on the returned list doesn't even have 'digital' in the product name, like "cleaning sheets?" it does however have the word digital somewhere in the description.

I have products named things such as 'digital scanner' and even a category named 'digital items', which should be higher in the default results in my opinion.

My question is, what exactly does the internal search engine search through to find it's results? The description? Product name? and in what order...? I have categories in place, they don't seem to help much, and I'm currently doing custom search terms for the drill-down list. But can I do something with the basic search results?
