If your CD's are all the same value you could add a prodcut discount equal to the value of a CD to your musical intruments and call it soemthing like - 'Free CD discount'

That way when they add the CD to their order it will be automatically discounted and become free.
 
The advantage in doing this is that the custumer sees the value of their discount.
 
The disadvantage is that if they don't add a CD to their order they would still get the discount which of course is a higher cost to you.

Has anyone out there set up a special/coupon/whatever that would allow a customer who purchases one item, to receive a different item free using Product Cart?

 

We sell instruments, and want to give the customer a free CD of their choice when they order a new instrument...

 

Any ideas?
