We had a similar issue with sorting. It's been reported to EI and they should fix it in a future release.

We currently have a sorting issue with some of our products (ie, when customer selects sort by price, some products are not displayed in the appropriate order). However, we found that cloning the product would alleviate the problem.

An issue we would like to address would be how to copy customer reviews and ratings from the "old" product to the "new" product. If anyone could help us out that would be much appreciated.
