If the host does not support SQL Studio Express so that one can run the database create script, you would need some other way to run that - such as a SQL admin page via your hosting control panel.

One key thing that will need to be set / checked is the folder permissions, which may need to be done by the hosting company if you do not have sufficient access.

That's a good start, and whoever is doing that work for you will inform you if more is needed if they run into a need for more.  For example, it's possible one might need access to your web hosting account control panel, depending upon where you are hosted.
