Hi All,

I want to create categories for material like "gold" or "silver" but don't want them to display on the viewcategories.asp page. I want to create a link for them on the left-side navigation menu.

I can hide the category in the storefront (control panel - hide this category), which takes care of them not displaying on the viewcategories.asp page but I thought I could manually force the page with a link like this " ...viewcategories.asp?idCategory=41" (41 = gold), but that doesn't work.

Is there a way around this within the control panel (V4) or do I need to create a custom search field for "material"?
