Author: geoff
Subject: 318
Posted: 14-July-2006 at 10:19pm

I am reaching for a Single Sign On solution to work with ProductCart. We might end up using any one of a number of solutions such as OpenSSO for user authentication. If anyone has experiences good or bad with customization of PC to take User authenication outside of the MSSQL - please please email or post a reply. Experiences on integrating to initial user registration and subsequent admin would be hugely welcomed.

We are heading this route, not due to any particular security concerns but since our site has multiple applications which each require user login authenication it seems the best route. In addition we believe by taking user login outside of the database we reduce the risk of the database being hacked.
