    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=4">katharina</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2857<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18-July-2009 at 8:10pm<br /><br />In the past we asked the customer in a custom input field at checkout for a date, which does not appear on the invoice.&nbsp; Many of our customers used, but we really like the option of the calendar, plus it gets printed on the invoice. &nbsp; We thought the time was for early UPS deliveries etc.&nbsp; Perhaps a "print on invoice checkmark" on the custom input fields for checkout setup page could solve the issue.&nbsp; This will help in the case we have a backorder, or just a dumb customer who thinks that ground means next day.&nbsp; You would be amazed to see what we get on silly customers.<br><br>]]>

You don't have any control over when UPS delivers other than the shipping method chosen&nbsp;(AFAIK) so I would&nbsp;advise not showing it at all. If you decide to keep it then editing the code to change the offset in days and the default time is fairly easy, but, if I remember correctly, the code appears a couple of times in the file, so care needs to be taken to edit both occurances.&nbsp;&nbsp;</DIV>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=4">katharina</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2857<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09-July-2009 at 2:13pm<br /><br />Just enabled the feature for selecting a delivery date.&nbsp; We don't like that it is displaying a delivery time of noon by default, even though we did not select the express time feature.&nbsp; UPS Ground usually guarantees ground shipments by 4 pm.&nbsp; I already see someone calling and complaining.&nbsp; I prefer if it only shows the date and no time at all, especially when you don't have the express time turned on at all. &nbsp;&nbsp; The second problem that I stumbled across this morning was that it also puts in a default date for the next day.&nbsp; Had this order going from OR to OH choosing UPS Ground showing a delivery date for tomorrow.&nbsp; First I thought the customer was just plain stupid, but then I noticed that it was doing it for all orders.&nbsp; Man that is a big can of worms for us.&nbsp; We now have to assume that all customers are smart, but again I can see someone complaining about this.&nbsp; The best solution is not to select a date by default, and only show dates on invoices that are actually chosen by the customer.&nbsp; Any fixes out there?<br>Katharina<br>]]>
