As far as I am aware deleting a payment option has no effect on the order history. I have customers who have changed their payment options more than once and this hasn't caused any problems.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?!  Can I delete a custom payment option or will this affect previous invoices which used this payment option?!

I found out that editing a product info changes all the invoices that have that product on it...
