Having used the Newsletter Wizard successfully to email 1000+ customers, I decided to try sending a newsletter selectively to customers who had bought from a specific category, and hit a problem.

My categories are arranged with one level of child categories under each of 3 parent categories. First problem is, that I am unable to select a parent category for the newsletter, because only the child categories are available in the drop-down list.

However, the second and more serious problem is that when selecting a child category, no email address are generated, although several customers have bought from this child category (and they have opted in the newsletter).

My site uses the apparel add-on. Has anyone else tried to use this feature, of selective emailing to specific categories?
