Author: ssharp
Subject: 2544
Posted: 10-March-2009 at 9:31am

Has anyone developed a mechanism to allow a customer to upload a file along with their order? Some of our products are customized with a customers logo and when they have to send the logo in an email or as a second step through the help system they leave the site and go to other sites. Stationary Studio - one of our customers - has the capability for a customer to order a product and upload the image for that product at the same time (see here: http://www.thestationerystudio.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/catalog.viewProduct/productID/22237/catId/2195/Self-Inking_Stamper_with_Your_Artwork.html)

It seems like the best place for this feature would be at the custom input level. If it was modified to allow for upload instead of just text field or text area that would be a perfect solution. Has anyone done this or would anyone be willing to write this customization for a fee?

Thanks for any assistance.
