I'd like to see something like this as well. Hi Katharina,
     It's possible but needs some custom code to achieve it.
The country code is stored in the order, so additional SQL would be required to retrieve the CountryName from the Countries table and some additional code to display the name in the emails.

Is there a way of having the country name spelled out on invoice and order confirmations?  The short code does make it harder for our shipping department and our customers.  I understand that the short code is used for looking up shipping, but it would be nice to have it spelled out in those two areas.  We had again a customer from Canada choosing the Canary Island.  The invoiced showed CE and they did not understand that there was a problem.  Fixing the naming will not prevent customers from choosing the wrong country, but they may catch it when they see their invoice.
