To answer your questions:

(1) Yes, product reviews are a standard feature. There are lots of settings that can be configured in different ways. We would recommend reviewing the following section of the documentation: http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/productcart/products_reviews

(2) Custom Search Fields are a good option for this kind of feature

(3) Custom Search Fields will likely be used in v4 as the basis for a product comparison feature. A one page checkout and tabbed-layout for product descriptions are features that are being considered for v4 as well.

(4) A small shopping cart that lists the products is certainly doable, but it is not provided out of the box. A bit of custom programming by a knowledgeable developer will be needed.

(5) ProductCart already includes that feature using the Highslide framework. This is standard in ProductCart v3.5 and above and you can test it on any of our demo stores. For example, click on the product images on this page.

Also is there a way to put in a visible my cart in the right column...I know you can have a little box that shows the order total so far and lets you check out, but is there one that actually displays what products are in your cart and the total order price?

And finally, is there way to lightbox the images displayed on the product details page rather than popping up a new window when you click on them

Hello,

I was wondering if the following things are possible (without code alteration) in PC v3.5:

1. editor ratings - similar to how it is done by cnet.com each product has a certain set of criteria that it is rated on to form an overall rating. for example you could have design: 4 stars, usability: 3 stars, price: 5 stars, and the overall rating: 4 stars. This would be set by the administrator somehow in the backend. Also then in the customer reviews you could have the same set of criteria to form a customer rating?

2. some kind of a product desciription matrix that has the same "categories" for each product. For example if you were selling plants you could have a little table that was on every product page. The left hand would be standard for all products...things like mature size, flower color, fall color, etc. and the right hand column would display the information for that particular product, for example it could say...5ft tall, pink flowers, red fall color, etc.

Also does anyone know if the following will be included in v4:

1. One page checkout
2. side by side product comparisons across categories
3. tabbed product pages
