To do that requires editing either the generated menu files (pc/inc_RetailCatMenu.inc and pc/inc_WholesaleCatMenu.inc), or you have to edit the script that generates those files (pcadmin/genCatNavigation.asp)

If you want to edit the menus, look for the following code (and similar, since the category reference will change) and delete it.  You will have to do this every time you generate the navigation:

If you want a more permanent solution so that every time you generate the category navigation those icons will not be present, it is necessary to edit the code in the generator script.  If you attempt to do that, making a backup copy of the working version would be a good first step.

Can someone help me find a way to stop the " + " sign from showing on the main page if I have sub-categories for a category? I just want the customer to click the link and then they see the sub-categories. I want to get rid of the plus sign on the main navigational structure.
