We have a membership club on our current site and we want to integrate this into our new PC site. I understand that PC has various pricing tables for different customer types to allow this. We would like the following and are looking for suggestions or to see if anyone has something similar.

Membership is good for 365 days. Once membership is purchased it should flag the customer record of the purchase date and send them a welcome Email. If there is no activity on the customer account for 90 days it will send them an email with a coupon and a reminder of the club benefits. It will further send them an Email 30 days before membership expires and if not renewed, it will notify them that membership has expired.

Free shipping on each transaction
Member only pricing on products.

Process flow
Our current site allows you to see a product and it’s normal price. If you are a non member while looking at an item the site encourages you to purchase the membership and will take you to a page showing the member benefits allowing and allowing you to purchase it.

If you purchase the membership and are logged in it will then show you the normal price as well as the member price. The nice thing is this can all happen in one transaction. No need to purchase the membership and then come back and purchase the goods you are interested in on a separate transaction.

Further to this we want to give the customer reporting on their member benefits. This could be in the way of an admin screen for their account. On this screen the customer would be able to see how much there membership has saved them in shipping and product cost.

There should also be admin reporting capabilities for admins to look at as a whole and on an individual basis most likely SQL Queries as long as we are storing the data.

How many active members
How many sign ups by month
Renewal % (sign ups vs not rejoining)
How much free shipping have we given away
By month and by year
How much in discounts have we given away
     By month and by year


The issue with PC looks to be allowing the member pricing during the same transaction that the membership is purchased and maybe storing the data for review.
