I agree with Hamish.
 
1024 is very common particularly with laptop users.
 
I think it's fair to say that designing for 800 pixel wide screens is catering for a minority these days but anything over 1024 is not good practice.

Hi,
  I run a 1600 wide screen, and I guess you have a pretty high resolution screen as well. If you view your store at 1024*768 it's much wider than the screen. I would avoid designing a fixed width design wider than that for now as it's still a very commonly, if not the commonest, used resolution.

Solved after playing around with the container (table) columns
 
- Removed the 20% & 80% widths

Hi; I tried several tweaks to get the text to wrap correctly in IE but with no luck.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this... see

The short & long description are not wrapping in the container. It works fine in Firefox.
