In one case I had 2 pieces of an item left in stock and a customer a few hours later did purchase the last two pieces. Evidently the inventory was not properly adjusted as another customer purchased 2 pieces of the same now out of stock item and low and behold, the count was readjusted to zero and did come up as out of stock (after customer no. 2 "purchased" the items).
.

I know this happened because earlier that morning I did a count check on the inventory totals.
