Author: desquinn
Subject: 188
Posted: 30-April-2006 at 5:56pm

Hi,

I have a client that wants to have a 3 tier shipping rate system on offer. These are similar to below:

Rate 1- Accessory Items to go by courier £9.95 per delivery.

Rate 2 - Furniture Items to go by Courier £19.95 per delivery

Rate 3- Heavy Items designated 2 Man Home Delivery £35 for the first item and £10 for each extra item thereafter.

Is there any way to make this happen in product cart?

If not, is it possible to have a single shipping rate for all products then have some other items that require special delivery set as having another rate?

I know it is possible to edit orders and fill in shipping details after the order ahs been submitted but this is not going to work to well with the WorldPay gateway since the shipping cost will have to be calculated post payment gateway stage.

I have mentioned the shipping costs using weight but they are very resistant to that option. If anyone has any ideas then I would love to hear....

regards
