The main reason is that many of the properties of the coupon are not known on the "View Cart" page. For example, the coupon could make "UPS Second Day Air" free, but since shipping has not been selected yet, it could not be applied. Similarly, the coupon might be limited to a certain customer, but since the shopping cart page can be viewed even if you are not logged in, the system would not know whether to apply the coupon or not. Hello. Currently the section where you can enter in a discount code is on the summary page. I was wondering how I could move it to the view cart page (viewcart.asp)?

This seems like a better place for it, as it will entice customers to purchase as they see a lower price.
