Here is what a trusted hosting company had to say about it:

After extensive research and monitoring, it has been determined thatthe resource used by SQL express engine causes a dramatic performancedecrease for the server.  Futhermore, it creates security issues forthe server.  Unfortunately, we are forced to discontinue support forSQL Express database engine ...

Will the MS SQL version of Product Cart run on a website hosting MS SQL 2005 EXPRESS?

Wasn't sure if the "Express" version would limit Product Cart. It doesn't sound like it will from its description.
