Hi Pat & welcome to the Forums.
    I'm guessing the page in question is the OrderVerify page.
Looking at that page it uses variables starting taxdesc .
I strongly suspect these  will be set via the admin pages under Settings/Manage Taxes - although being UK based I just switch on the VAT tax option - so I'm not to familiar with the full set of possibilities.  I understand you can also use a "tax file".
I would start with the panels & see if anything has been left blank which should not have been.

Hi All

Newbie here......forgive me but I have a few questions.
 
1.  I have set up the shipping method for UPS.   When I test it to go and check out, I don't get a shipping charge.
 
 
 
2. On the check out page, it shoes the charge for Tax, but it doesn't show the term of tax?
 
e.g.
 
Product.....24.97
.................3.5
Total.........28.47
