Haven't been looking at the forums lately.  Been a month since you posted,
But in my testing I found that NO LETTERS are accepted.

Maybe your customer entered an extention like 800-555-1212 x555 (?)

You probably can change the code, but I did not.  What I did is modify the languares.asp file. (line 80 on mine, but I made other changes and adds so search...)

dictLanguage.Add "english_Custmoda_15",  "You must enter a Valid Phone Number. Only Numbers, Dashes, + or ( ) Allowed"

I have a customers that said they can't create an account due to their phone number not being accepted.  This one is an international customers.  The customer did not say what they have tried.  We have many international customers that open an account without any problem.  I wonder what is the required format is or what will cause this problem?
