The niche store is a trading identity of the mainstore which can be graphically re branded but come the checkout it will revert to the main store details.

What would be a cool feature would be to have the option to allow multiple identity's within shopping cart all tieing into a central db/store like you are after.

To get the header i should imagine any good coder could do this custom work for you.

Edited by cptkoi - 14-February-2006 at 6:44am

So you could run two stores with one ProductCart license as long as they share the same database (e.g. the graphical interface might be different)."

<SPAN ="GeneralText">This probably is my answer. Is there any expanded discussion on this technique anywhere? Again, will I know which store produced the quote or sale?

<SPAN ="GeneralText">Thanks!

Edited by lakefreak - 12-February-2006 at 7:04pm

    Author: lakefreak
Subject: 125
Posted: 12-February-2006 at 6:22pm

Hi all! I would like to ask if this is possible:

I would like to have a single store/quote system that has a unique header depending on who or how it is entered. I want to have my store branded to multiple independent reps/dealers for my products so they can either enter the store with their customer or give their customer a url to enter so 1) they can price/quote products at minimum, and 2) buy products at most. The store front would display their branded header when they enter. It would remain throughout product browsing. It does NOT need to be displayed beyond that point. The cart and checkout can be generic to all. It would be nice (but not essential) that if the customer went back to shopping for more, it would return to the appropriate branded site. If a quote or order is submitted to me, it would be good to know which "storefront" it came from. Would incorporating the affiliate function assist in any way?

How much of this is possible "out of the box" and what would need customized? Is that type of customization a "big deal?"
