You can do this with some manual editing.

- Download "includes/stringfunctions.asp"
- Backup the file
- Open in a text editor
- Find text “On Error Resume Next” around line 386
- Directly after "On Error Resume Next" add the following text

           pcf_AddToCart=False
            Exit Function

- Save the file and upload

This will hide the new buy now buttons. It will also disable the “Qty” inputboxes in the "multiple add-to-cart" layout. 

 

Making this a Control Panel option is something I will addto our development “Wish List”.  In themeantime, keep in mind you would have to redo this edit anytime you install anupdate.

I don't like the add to cart button that was added to featured products and categories with this new version.  Our products have many details that a customer must look at prior to making the choice of the correct item to purchase.
