I have managed to get this done by passing a query string through from the admin section along with the place order URL. This then gets created as a session variable and then picked up when you get to the payment choices.

A special Admin option is hidden to all apart from those that are placing orders from the backend.

Hi,

I have a client that wants to be able to place phone orders for clients but would prefer for the customer not to be able to do it themselves. They do have a payment gateway in place for the majority of orders but while they want to be able to take phone orders through the system they do not want to advertise it to clients.

is there a way for the operators to place an order on behalf of a user using a manual payment gateway without this gateway being available to the general customers on the front end. They hada  "pay by phone" option available globally but they felt it was being used too much by customers so the still want the funtionality for operators but not for customers.
